02/09/2000 - Workshops are back
  • The new year has long started so we have new stuff in the workshops section.
12/22/1999 - Workshops go Congress / Cleanup
  • Only few days left until the Chaos Communication Cogress starts... We wanted to thank all of you for attending our workshops (and of course for your donations) and also tell you that you will see some of the lectors at the Congress. We here in Hamburg will return with a new schedule in january. If you have suggestions or want to act as a lector yourself, contact me .
  • Also we've done a little cleanup on our website: Stuff that was outdated has been removed and a little content has also been added, but see for yourselves...
  • So: See you at the Congress (Probably at the ticket counter? We volunteered to do that...)
12/12/1999 - Chaos-CD "Demo"
  • Here are the "details" we promised: The CD team has taken the effort to create a web-based "demo version" of the Chaos-CD so you can see the basic concept of the CD, what it looks like, what can be expected. Check it out here .

12/10/1999 - Chaos-CD Blue is finished!
  • After a couple more days of heroic work the new Chaos-CD is finally finished. In contrast to the beta version all texts are available in HTML in order to make the CD searchable by a supplied Java applet. Details will follow shortly. As for now, look at this

09/08/1999 - Workshops are back!
  • After our summer break the Workshops Department is back again and you can check out the new dates.
  • On the same note, we're looking for a beamer or overhead panel to project a computer screen on the wall. If anyone could give any of the above away at a low price or even for free because their employer is throwing things out or something like that, please contact us! Thanks in advance!

06/18/1999 - Linux Installation Party
  • Linux - the alternative OS? Everyone longing to try it for themselves but not daring enough to install it on their own will receive help at this event: On 07/10+11/1999 we will be installing, compiling kernels, and much more. Additional information about Linux can be obtained the following thursday. See the Workshops section.

04/01/1999 - English website
  • The english version of our website is now up and running.

03/30/1999 - Recent decisions as of 05/01/1999:
  • Introduction of workshops, lectures, etc. on thursdays - or on weekends if all else fails.

  • declaration of every first tuesday of the month to be "internal chaos". Everyone who attends anyway will be welcome to join but won't have good chances of getting to know us because this day will be used for votes and debates. All other meets will be quite informal - just as usual. "Newbies" are encouraged to avoid the internal tuesday.

03/27/1999 - an interesting day for CCC Hamburg:
  1. Our opening ceremony for the new location on "Lokstedter Weg" will be held. Everyone from Hamburg or any other Chaos area is welcome. Food and drink will be provided for...
  2. Our webpage has been updated and will go online with the beginning of the opening party at 15.42 (3.42pm).
